Hyderabad:City police SHE teams said they had arrested 247 persons for harassing women during the Numaish from January 3 to February 17. Police booked 37 petty cases in which two offenders were jailed for two days. Thirtythree accused were fined `50 each, and another offender was sentenced to two days of simple imprisonment along with a fine of `50, She Teams DCP Lavnya Naik Jadhav said.
A total of 190 individuals were warned and let off after counselling. DCP Jadhav said 20 cases were pending disposal. Among the offenders were 24 minors.
